About Us

Azadaneh was founded in Paris in December 2024, born out of the solidarity and collective action that emerged during the Woman, Life, Freedom uprising in Iran. Our founding members first came together at demonstrations, vigils, and cultural gatherings—united by a shared commitment to justice and human dignity.

From these early collaborations within the collective Alborz, Azadaneh took shape as a new platform for advocacy, support, and community.

We are a collective of scholars, researchers, and advocates with advanced training across diverse fields. While our academic expertise deepens our understanding of social and political challenges, Azadaneh’s work goes far beyond research. We actively organize cultural events, conferences, community campaigns, and solidarity initiatives that aim to amplify marginalized voices.

Our efforts focus on raising awareness within French society about the ongoing human rights crisis in Iran—particularly the systemic violations faced by women and children. We also collaborate with other organizations and volunteer in joint initiatives to build bridges of solidarity and strengthen advocacy networks.

Several Azadaneh members are also active in NIKA (Network of Iranians for Freedom and Democracy) and Kavian e.V., contributing to their campaigns, events, and educational programs.
